My Galaxy tab 2 7 inc dead

samsung galaxy tab2 7 inch, total dead due to hit the water, when I connect the laptop sometimes disjointed and broken again, what should I do for my galaxy, .....

Options

screw it open and try to find if there is any water in it.

Also put it on a warm place so it dries.

Thanks Rico, on his response, I had to unpack and clean up, make sure it is not in the water anymore, now every time I connect it to the computer is still off-again
