Can I reuse the 3G digitizer?

Can I remove the digitizer from a iPhone 3GS and put it on a broken iPhone 3G? I have a perfectly good 3GS screen on a phone that is not working, and I want to put the digitizer from it on a 3G.

Answer this question I have this problem too

Is this a good question?

Negative. The digitizer and LCD are pretty solidly stuck together. If you were to attempt to separate them, one or both of the parts will be damaged beyond repair. Also, the digitizers for the 3G and 3GS are not interchangeable.

"The digitizer and LCD are pretty solidly stuck together", nah not really. It is actually pretty doable compared to later models.

For the 3G or the 3GS? Both easy to separate?

Easy? Did not see that popping up anywhere ;-) Doable is the term I used.

Fair enough.
