Home button flex cable

Hello

A week ago I ordered a new screen for my iPad (4th gen). We replaced the screen but by doing so, we damaged a cable going from the ipad to the home button. So now the home button doesn't work anymore.

Can you help please?

Thanks anyway!

Hi Charlotte,

Unfortunately I don't have an iPad 4th generation. But you mentioned that the cable going from the iPad to the home button was damaged. This cable might need to be replaced.

It might help you to take a look at the teardown of the iPad, as provided by iFixit. Here is the link (has two pages):

Based on these pictures you might be able to identify the item you need to replace. I would then look at various online platforms in Belgium or even Germany.
