Any hardware upgrades I can do?

I was wandering what kind of hardware upgrades there are that i can do to get my MBP to the best it can be. I have the 2.7 GHz i7 processor. I run out of space quite often and that was the first thing that made me want to upgrade but i do not want to buy a new computer, just newer better parts to replays the ones i have.

Thanks for the help

You can upgrade to 16 GIGs of RAM. Also drop in an SSD drive in place of or in addition to your standard hard drive by removing the optical drive. It's according to how much you want to spend.

I am willing to spend up to $500. Im not to clued up with any of this i have never done anything like this so would you kinda lay it out more for me. I see they only have 8 GIGs of RAM under the parts section on this site, but you said 16? And the SSD drives is 250 GB, would that work well if i add it to my standard hard drive, and why remove the optical drive? Anything els you would recommend as well?

Thank you for your help

Here's the specs on your machine: Apple MacBook Pro "Core i7" 2.7 13" Early 2011 Specs

Identifiers: Early 2011 13" - MC724LL/A - MacBookPro8,1 - A1278 - 2419*

*Apple officially supports a maximum of 8 GB of RAM, but OWC reports , this model actually is capable of using up to 16 GB of RAM with two 8 GB memory modules. You have a Serial ATA (6 Gb/s) BUS, so do a web search for SSD & 6 Gb/s and 2.5" hard drives to find your options.
