Display is dim even when plugged in.

My HP Pavilion has a feature that dims the display when on battery power. I used the thing on battery for just a short time and went home and plugged it in. It normally brightens when plugged in but is staying dim. I am wondering if the battery must be 100% before it brightens up again.

It should brighten up the moment it is plugged in. Have you checked your AC power supply to make sure it is okay? Does your battery charge?

Well yes it does charge..based on some other forums Im looking in it could be the power supply and indeed the outlet I am using also..the outlet could have low voltage. It may also brighten when the battery is fully charged..

I know this is probably stupid but ill ask it anyway, did you check your power plan? didnt you change your plan to power saver or smth like that, one that has half the luminosity of your old plan ?
