Is the sim card removable or is it a fixed circut

Has anyone opened a kindle fire hd 4g. I am wondering if it has a removable sim card on the inside or is it build into the motherboard similar to the wifi model. I am trying to see if it could be modded to work on other networks other then AT&T.
