Screen not working after replacing top case, can't seem to fix it?

Hey, I just replaced the top case assembly on my Macbook pro, due to a power button issue. Previous to this the laptop booted up fine when the power pads were tripped - screen worked fine - everything did. Now once I replaced the top case assembly the power button worked fine, however the screen was simply black - nothing at all. As if it wasn't connected. I've double checked everything and all of the cables and connections look fine. When i press the power button the computer boots up fine, and when connected to an external display it shows up fine - it's just the lcd in the computer does not turn on. I have no idea what could cause this, so i'm just curious as to what i should double check or whether or not i should just take it all apart again then put it back together, or just what could be wrong.

EDIT: I also just checked photo booth on the external display and the camera works fine, just the screen does not.

EDIT: The screen does work, however there is no backlight so it is extremely dull.

Thankyou so much for your time who ever takes the time to read this. I really appreciate it a lot.

Go over all the connectors again, especially any cams... many times people "think" they had made a good connection, but a revisit found them loose, or ribbon cables not fully inserted/cams locked down.

Hey, thanks for your time. I'm just wondering what cables could possibly be the cause of the screens backlight not working? Thanks so much.
