Keyboard Ribbon not locking in.

I had issues with my trackpad the left half was not clicking smoothly when i would click So i took my computer apart way more than i needed to but when i go to disconnect the keyboard ribbon i did not unlatch it first it was a bit hard but it did come out. Now when i try to put it back in and lock it i can just touch it and it come out. Its so loose i am not able to turn my computer on, i think, because of this.

There is a small latch on the rear (facing the display side of your machine) black connector that you plug the keyboard into on the logic board. Carefully lift it and insert the keyboard cable. After the cable is seated lock it back in place. Hope this helps.

I have but it doesn't stay in. I tap it and it will pop out even when locked.

It isn't being pushed in far enough. These cables are a little tricky to work with. You'll need a little leverage to ensure it has been pushed in. You shouldn't see any copper if it's seated properly.

That did it it wasn't in all the way it took more force to put it in there than i thought. Thank you very much!
