Overheating and Battery drain after installing aftermarket Digitizer

Hi

I installed a pink digitizer and back on my iphone. Now it gets realy hot and the battery drains very quick. Is the battery shot?? Or did I shorten the battery on ther terminal?? Thanks for any help.
