I tried all the possible methods to reset the iPod which are; Vol up+ home button+ Power button, home and power button for 10-30 secs. Nothing works for me. Any help guys..!!

i had the same problem. i ended up re-opening ipod and cleaned the display connections. retried before closing and it worked great. sometimes when you close the unit your moving the connection cable and it does not make 100% connection. hope this helps.
