New Mac air mobo in original Mac air?

I have a 1237 MacBook air. How similar are the mobos compared to a newer one?

I really want more than 2gb of ram lol

Well, nothing is impossible, however this would take far (FAR!) more work than the payoff would be worth.

The newer logic board is quite a bit wider than the original, thanks to ports on both sides of the computer. The fan is in a different location, the LVDS (display) connection is likely different and is on the opposite side, the Airport card & antennas are in a much different location, the battery connections are in different locations, etc, etc...

With the small space of the MacBook Air this would be far beyond impractical to pull off.
