Tiny resistors removed, will this cause a problem
Hi I accquired an ipod touch 32gb 4th Generation, the previous owner had attempted a repair however they had made a pigs ear of it. Now the area where the volume/on/off ribbon is soldered 3 of the tiny smd resistors have been removed. Now I turn too the experts for a little advice please,I fully assembled itouch and all seems to be ok. I had too solder a wire to the trace that connects the middle pad as it was lifted, an overheating warning pops up after a 5-10 mins. Just wondered if I can get a bit of help please !!!!!!!

Not that I know of. You may can try to scratch the board where that contacts bus line is and that will expose the bus line which you might could solder to.
I just remembered I have an iPhone that i was going to try that out on. If I get around to it tomorrow I'll let u know what I did

Thanks I appreciate the comments, I was wondering what the TH point on the itouch battery does. As the pad has gone on the board (Not me) I did manage to solder to the track but now thats come of and was wondering if there is an alternate point to solder too. I can see it leads to a tiny via but it's so small and not having much luck finding any other points thanks in advance Kris.
