Battery or Logic board

Hi my iPod recently stopped charging, so I replaced the battery. Once I got the new battery installed I noticed that it wouldnt charge more than half way. Now my battery is completely dead and when plugged in, it never gets passed charging please wait. I've tried different charger cables, outlets and usb and still nothing. What do you think it could be?

clarence jones, this series of iPods is plagued with a bad battery connector. It does have the tendency of corroding of the logic board and eventually falling off. Make sure that you new battery cable is inserted properly, straight and to the marking on the cable. Check the connector with a multimeter when it is plugged in, see what voltage your get.

Probably, the battery that was replaced, was kinda malfunctioning. You need a new one.
