Garbled/Distorted sound on windows 7

MY HP DV6 laptop has very bad sound problems. While listening to any audio source the sound while suddenly

garble/distort and every button on the keyboard will freeze including the mouse. After 2 or 3 seconds it wiil correct it self, but will do it again after an hour or so. I have re installed sound drivers ,check for viruses, malware,spyware etc. After doing some research, I have notice that other hp laptop owners have the same problems. Many of them have notified hp to no avail.

Nothing has help. I even updated from windows 7 to 8. That din't help either can you help please!

Well the only thing I can think of is to clean out the system and optimize it for better performance.

Use CCleaner to clean out junk files and registry errors

Then go to start> right click on My computer> go to properties >advance system properties> advance tab> under performance settings and make sure you click on for best performance.

Also you wanna check to see what other things are loaded with windows to speed it up.
