iPhone is dead, even after replacing battery!

I was charging my 2 years iPhone via computer when all the sudden it turned off.

I tried to turn it on but nothing!

I ordered new battery and replaced it with the old one.

Still got nothing.

I noticed that when i plug it with the wall charger, it turned on but in recovery mode and asks me to connect to itunes. But when i disconnect it it turns off..

And when i connect it with USB to pc, it keep trying to boot but fails, and tries again... like there is no enough power to power it on

What is the problem here?

Thanks

Answer this question I have this problem too

Is this a good question?

Yohana Khoury, most likely not your OS. "I noticed that when i plug it with the wall charger, it turned on but in recovery mode and asks me to connect to itunes. But when i disconnect it it turns off." this is the part that leads me to believe that you are having dock connector issues. Of course, you do want to try a different computer USB port as well as different cables. Also, clean the dock connector with some isopropyl alcohol and a few puffs of compressed air.Ultimately, this would be an error where I would start replacing the dock connector first. Follow this guide to get it accomplished., Hope this helps, good luck.

Can you please give me link for how to clean the dock connector?

I just don't understand why this may be the problem... Should the new battery has a little bit of energy to power the iPhone on?

btw, when the iphone in recovery mode (usb charger with the wall), i see 100% on the battery icon in the top bar... strange!

i have studied some electrics in the school, so i don't understand why this could happen. Can you explain more?

It is the dock connector that carries all the information to the iPhone, even the charging from USB and wallcharger. If the dock connector is not working properly, it will not get to charge your battery.

Well, finally, i replaced the Dock Connector.

BUT this doesn't solved the problem!

It's like the iPhone does not recognize the battery.

*I replaced the battery too, and both (old and new) still won't work.

Any other suggestions ?
