touchscreen stops working after screen replacement

I recently replaced the digitizer glass on my iPhone 3G with a replacement unit from iFixit. The repair was easy, but I have a major issue.

After working for one-five minutes on the iPhone, it loses touch capacity completely. It just doesn't respond to touch at all. Only after I lock it with the button on top and then unlock it, it again works.

I reopened the phone and checked the connections, but they all seem to be fine and firm in place.

Is it possible I have a defective digitizer?

Any help would be appreciated.

Unfortunately, that does sounds like a defective digitizer.

If you fill out the form here, we can set up a return for your product and send you a replacement.

Sorry for the hassle!
