Hi there,
I have a macbook pro 13 mid 2009 and I have installed a samsung solid state drive. Can I using a hard drive cable sata3 for a macbook pro 13 early/mid 2011 to increase write and read speed?
Is this a good question?

The problem is the controller on the logic board that's SATA II (3,0 Gb/s).
Maybe a SATA III (6.0 Gb/s) cable are better shielded and you can gain some speed, but you definitely cannot achieve SATA III speeds.

Can't really gain any speed with a SATA III cable, but it does offer a better connection.
You're right. I was thinking about average speed derived by better connection rather than top speed.
I have the same problem! I bought a Samsung 850 EVO SSD and only works. externally plugged-in via the USB connection no problems. But, when I put inside it is not recognized.
Is it the same solution? Change the hard drive cable SATA III?

I would first check the systems firmware. Follow this Apple T/N: About EFI and SMC firmware updates for Intel-based Mac computers make sure you're at the level listed or newer.
And yes, I would replace the SATA cable as the older ones tend to break down. Use this one: MacBook Pro 13" Unibody (Mid 2012) Hard Drive Cable.
