White Screen not detecting in iTunes

I have a iPhone 3GS. It has stopped working. It has a white screen and when I'm connecting to iTunes it is recognizing the device but showing nothing but an error message "We're sorry, we are unable to continue with your activation at this time." Even pc is not recognizing my phone. I don't understand what this is. The phone was working perfectly. Although it did fall from my hand before this white screen happened. People told to change the screen, but this is no screen problem. Pls Help.

I would first try a hard reset by pushing both the home button and the power button at the same time till the screen go's blank, when the apple show's on your screen release the buttons and let it re-boot, if that doesnt fix it try a restore in DFU mode, here is a link to explain how, http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=34v8HMC9B..., if that doesn't fix it re-post on here for more ideas, good luck.
