Replaced screen and now just comes on white

Was given a phone that had a screen replacement done but it turns on and just lights up white. I have tried to hold the buttons and everything but still same

Options

Try holding the home button and plug it into your pc with itunes open until it hard restores. If you get no joy then its probably the LCD broken during replacement.

You may have a damaged pin on the lcd connector. I had one recently like this and I observed through a microscope that a pin had been damaged on the connector. I resoldered it and it worked fine. I usually find that if the lcd is bad you get something anyway. A few lines or something.
