replacing a doc connector, after doing so if I call someone with customers phone the person on the other end cannot hear me, if I put the phone on speaker then they can hear me on the other end. This is a Verizon 4 black.

Are all the small contacts on the speaker enclosure pressed down properly? Did you clean them off? The oils in your hand will cause a grounding issue, clean them with 90% alcohol or electronic cleaner before reinstall. For refer I'm talking about the 4 small legs that you have to press and sometimes pop in place before screwing the enclosure down.

You damaged the mic attached to the dock connector or knocked it loose from its holder. When on speaker phone you are using the top mic and the bottom mic works on calls when you are not on speaker.
