You most certainly can install it yourself!! No data will be lost. My fifteen year old son was able to upgrade our memory at the same time. The battery replacement is so easy it is effortless! The memory upgrade is slightly more involved but easily done by a novice as well. Good luck and be confident. You can do it!!
