head phone jack stuck

I currently own an iPod where the end of the headphone jack that plugs into the iPod has broken off and has gotten stuck within the iPod jack there for im unable to get it out the peice was just the end and the iPod works just something is obstructing the connection for the headphone channels if anyone has suggestions on how to fix this i would be extreamly greatful as i do not wish to buy another for the time being

You could just replace the headphone jack on the iPod.

Just weld a piece of metal on the end of the headphone and then pull it

Not a good answer to a 3 year old question. Besides being an old question, it also states that it broke off inside the jack not a chance that you can solder to it.

Yes you can replace the headphone jack but its one piece together with the hold switch. And this iPod model is quite hard to open. See here: iPod Classic Headphone Jack & Hold Switch Replacement
