My screen is not receptive to touch in lower left corner

After replacing the battery, my screen is not receptive to touch in the lower left-hand corner. This is problematic in texting, as I cannot move between the qwerty keyboard and the emoticons. In order to access the qwerty keyboard, I have to rotate the phone to the landscape view specifically to the right because that forces the 123/ABC button to the lower-right hand corner. Did I mess something up while I was changing the battery? BTW....the new battery works great.

Ok...I opened the phone, looked to see if any of the connections were loose..which there didn't appear to be but when I closed the phone and turned it on it was functioning properly. All is good...battery is holding a charge and the screen is responsive in all areas. Thanks!

The exact same scenario happened to me but mine was the bottom right screen. I just under did the connecters and redid them it took like 5 or 6 times till the screen worked again.
