Why isn't my flip video mino HD not turning on?

My fip mino hd isn't turning on, but when I try to charge it (on the computer) the red light turns on but the computer doesn't identify it. I'v tried charging it many times but nothing happens. When i take it out of the computer the red light stays on.

There are no damages on the outside and it first broke when I was filming inside and as I pressed the record button it turned of and since then never turned on.
