A couple of days ago, my imac has started to give a picture when you turn followed by several (like 5) signals the welcome in a row, then it goes to reboot, and history repeats itself. What happened to him?

it looks like a bad graphics chip/card. to confirm this you need to use an external monitor and if you get the same image on the other screen then sad to say it could be expensive..it would help if we know exactly which model imac you have..EMC or last 3 digits of the serial number.
