finding compatible hard drive

Hi,

The hard drive on my 3 years old 27" iMac has died.

The iMac model number is iMac11,1

The actual drive model is ST31000528ASQ

I would like to replace it with a 2T drive. Could you please suggest a model that won't result in fan issues (or any other type of issues such as vibrations, etc)?

Thank you!

I heard that its not possible to replace the hard drive of an intel iMac 27" Mid 2011 model due to Apple putting some custom firmware on the hard disks for temperature control.

Given the above, how do you suggest replacing the hard drive?

Thanks.
