Why won't my PowerBook power up after replacing RAM?
I followed your step by step instructions, however when I go to power up, I hear 3 tones, have no screen and the beacon stays lit constantly.
Is this a good question?

Reseat the RAM one at a time, one chip in one slot and then the same chip in the other slot. Do this with the other chip. Start the machine up after each RAM placement. This will isolate a bad chip or a bad slot or just a badly seated chip. What was your old RAM configuration and what is the new?

Come on and talk to me or I can't help. What happened when you tried starting with just one chip? You got this on all four restarts? What happens when you put the old RAM in? Was your computer working before you started the RAM upgrade?
