Front facing camera not working after replacing cracked screen?

Just replaced the front screen of a iPhone 4 CDMA. Replacement went well as for the screen. Only thing is that the front facing camera doesn't work. The rear facing camera does, but when I press the 180 degree option at the top right, the camera app freezes and the shutter closes. The shutter does not open until I restart the iPhone, even on the rear facing camera. The front facing camera worked when I got it. Checked the pics of the logic board and the flex, both A-OK. About to order a new front facing camera, but before I do, is there anything else I should try out?

Thanks a lot!

Reseat the camera connection. I'm sure you did no damage to the camera itself.

I did, plenty of times. I also checked the pins on both ends of the connection and they are all straight. I have a new camera on the way... the interior of the phone is in mint condition and the camera worked prior to the installation.
