A Humming Sound When Screen Brightness Dims

My MacBook Pro has started to produce a humming sound coming from under the top of the keyboard area whenever the screens dims. It happens whether the screen dims due a change of light or when you do it manually. The solution I have found is to keep the brightness to the maximum, but I wonder if there's a part that needs to be replaced soon.
