Product Overview

Bruce Willis was a ghost the whole time?

Pause, rewind, play it back.

Bruce Willis was a ghost the whole time!

Pause, rewind, play it back.

BRUCE WILLIS WAS A GHOST THE WHOLE TIME?!

Pause, rewind, play it back.

It happens to all of us. Watching it one time just isn't enough. You spend the entire day smashing your iPhone 3GS with your finger as you desperately rewind the final scenes. Now your front panel assembly is as dead as Bruce Willis in the second scene of the movie.

But don't worry. We have everything you need to replace it with a brand new front panel assembly that has not been subjected to hours of shock from finding out the truth about Bruce Willis.

This assembly includes the touchscreen glass, ear piece speaker, integrated digitizer, and home button. This is much easier to replace than just the Front Panel, which is a horror story in itself.

IMPORTANT: This does not work in the iPhone 3G. Find the front panel assembly for the iPhone 3G here.

My Problem

Broken display on 3gs 32g & 3g 8gb iphone

My Fix

it was well success :-)

My Advice

My use fixiit guide :-)

My Problem

I had dropped my phone cracking the screen. Still worked, just cracked. A friend gave me theirs which I dropped in a puddle, making the dock connector and home button not work, so I used the module from my phone. I then had a phone fully functional and one with a cracked screen and broken dock connector and (I would notice later after fixing) a torn ribbon connecting the camera.

My Fix

Fixed the screen and dock connector and, with the exception of the camera I still have to fix, works great! Looks like new with the screen.

My Advice

Keep aware of the camera ribbon when pulling out the logic board. Also, invest in a good case.

My Problem

A customer dropped her 3GS and didn't want to pat AT&T $200.

My Fix

It was easy, I got the whole front assembly for her because I didn't want to have to transfer the home button and speaker over.

My Advice

Just take your time

My Problem

Son dropped his phone

My Fix

I tried 2 other "replacement" panels from other vendors, and neither worked. The connector 2 plug was not correct

My Advice

Buy from iFixIt if you want to get the right part the first time.

My Problem

My wife's iPhone 3GS fell into a concrete floor few days before the 4s release, coincidence?.

My Fix

It was hard at first time, but the videos help a lot. I did not install properly one of the connectors and I had to unmount the iPhone again.

I bought the full front panel to avoid dissasembling just the touch screen so the fix was not that hard.

My Advice

Be calm, think it twice and watch the ifixit video tutorial.

My Problem

Phone dropped at airport during pre-flight security screening.... Empty your pockets, remove your jacket, remove your hat, remove you shoes, remove your glasses, remove your belt... CRASH

My Fix

Much, much slower than on your video.... Are you sure MJ isn't related to Bat Woman or some other supra terrestrial individual? Intense staring at the screen also failed to deposit her phone number into my iPhone contact list!

My Advice

For the tool kit for this job you should add (1) A 6X hand-held magnifying glass. Helps examine cable sockets for correct alignment / damage when connecting cables (2) A pair of fine-point tweezers for handling screws and small parts (3) The Phillips screwdriver should be magnetized to retain screws for initial threading.

My Problem

The home button on my iPhone 3GS stopped working, and the coating wore off so if you breathed near it, it would fog up.

My Fix

It went very well, although even though i bought the phone new and never opened it before, there were some strange things that the factory (apparently) did/didnt do on the innards. There was an extra screw just sitting around inside the case, not missing from anywhere, and the reported black tape securing the digitizer to the screen also didnt exist.

My Advice

I wore latex gloves, and was armed with compressed air and screen cleaner, and it helped very much to keep the grit and grease out of the inside of the device. The first time i put it back together i realized a hair got trapped between the screen and digitizer, so i had to re-dismantle and re-assemble it, after that all was well.
