The iPad Pro 9.7" is smaller version of Apple's original 12.9" high performance tablet. Like its larger counterpart, the Pro 9.7" features an A9X processor, support for the Apple Pencil, and a 4-speaker audio setup.

Identifying the 9.7-inch iPad Pro can be difficult, as it has the same physical dimensions and weight as the iPad Air 2. Compared to the Air 2, the Pro features a three-pin Smart Connector along its left edge, as well as speaker grilles on the top and bottom edges. The Pro's model number, A1673, is etched on its rear case.
