New (Used) Imac, souped it up some

My Problem

The computer worked fine, but the hard drive was seven years old, about the time they stop working. So my friend and I replaced the hard drive and increased the memory.

My Fix

With your replacement parts, and your how to articles, it was very easy. My friend had already replaced the hard drives in his and his daughters iMacs, so he had no trouble guiding me through the procedure. We are both retired, and are thinking of doing this to make a little extra money, at least in the winter time.

My Advice

Make sure you have the right tools, have a good place to work on your repair, and most of all, DON'T BE AFRAID. The info on this site will get you through with no problems.
