The iMac G5 was originally released in 2004. The slimmest iMac yet, the G5 has been re-released several times, with the addition of an ambient light sensor in 2005, and with iSight later the same year. In 2005, the iMac was named the "Gold Standard of Desktop Computers" in the Wall Street Journal.
