Stories

My Problem

Installed SSD for use as fusiondrive with onboard HHD

My Fix

Went well although design of bluetooth antenna was different than repair plan showed. Succeded anyway

My Advice

Just look very carefully and then just do it!

My Problem

Slow startup

My Fix

Relocate HD into the optical Bay adapter.

Install new SSD.

My Advice

Needed advice out of different forums:

- to make an backup and to restore

- to create an USB startup stick (maverricks)

- to 'create' (simulate) an CoreStorage: FusionDrive

Everything worked out well. The MBP is faster and the temperature stays lower than before.

Thanks to your good mechanical Instructions on the website and the tools you delivered with the SSD disk. GREAT experience! It is a pleasure to work with you!!!!

Sincererly,

Iwan Meier.
