Another green light of death problem

History

Hello, I have the green light of death on my PS3, but I've tried on 2 different systems to follow the step by step video reset. Mine won't boot into safe mode, it just stays a black screen. The controllers won't sync either.

The other 3 systems with the problem worked just fine with your instructions, but this green light of death is a different issue.

Can you help me? I order your stuff all the time, I just need a fix for this issue. THANK YOU!!!

iRobot,

Nope this is a PS3, normaly when there is a GLOD you just reset the video. This does not work for this matter. I can't even get to safe mode to reset the device. All other functions seem to be normal, inserting a disc, ejecting the disc, power on and off with the front switch... The controller won't sync and the light is green like normal. Any ideas? Thank you!!!

Well, try this

Hold the power button on the PS3 down till it beeps after the first beep when you first pressed the power button this will reset the video settings on the PS3, and this does come in handy when the video settings get screwed up

If that does not work, try holding it down till it beeps 2 separate times, and it will shut off, then hold the power button again till it beeps twice simultaneously to get into what I would call diagnostic mode(really safe mode)

Next, try a different cable of the same type, it could be the cable

If that does not work, try using a different connection for the video cables, it could be that port at fault
