orange light on constantly when charging but doesn charge

i tried charging my ipod shuffle the orange light comes on like it is charging but no matter how long a leave it on it never seems to charge any ideas???

Hey Peter,

Does the iPod work when it is plugged in to the charger. It sounds like the battery is most likely dead. Luckily, we have a guide for installing a new battery right here.
