MacBook doesn’t charge

The MacBook doesn’t have any sign of accepting charge from the original charger (80w). When I plugged it in to a different charger (60w) it said it was charging but then in the morning it was still dead. It’s charged off a 20w charger before and I also tried the only other charger that’s USbc that I have which is a 30w charger

Did you try a second USB-C cable? Make sure it’s designed to charge as some don’t work fully.

Give the systems age you may need a new battery and/or the systems charging logic needs repairs.

All of the chargers were used with a different cable and they were all charging cables

@sambaumann - I’m assuming you also tried the other ports just in case one side wasn’t working. At this point you have a logic board issue within the charging logic.

There are techs with deep micro electronics skills who can fix your logic board otherwise it’s replacing it which can get expensive depending on the config.

Where do you live? Country and nearest large city, maybe we can aim you to someone to help you.

I checked the price of logic boards and the price of repairing them and I think it would be better just to get a new Mac as the one I have is extremely old and will probably make me end up spending more money repairing it than if I just bought a new one
