I bought screen on the eBay, replaced

Now as like new ))

Installed new Mac OS Sonoma ))

Can you tell us a bit more. What happened before you noted the issue?

Sadly the backlight within the display has an issue. It’s a bit odd as most of the time we get a stage light effect along the bottom edge where the three or four strings interwoven light or don’t light.

Why did you pop off the display to work on the system? Could you have damaged the defuser elements?

@sergiikushnarov does not look like a backlight issue. Do this, in a darkened room shine a flashlight beam across the dark area. Check if you can see the background when you do that.

A bad backlight would not be illuminated by moving your folder icon etc. into the affected area.
