Dead power button fix

My 2015 MBP has a dead power button. I have determined that it is completely dead at the contact pad as if I touch it with something metal, it doesn't work. Every other key works. Is there something I can do, or does the whole keyboard need replacing?

Answer this question I have this problem too

Is this a good question?

To be clear, you are able to power on the system by shorting out the Power Pads, so it’s clearly the button that’s failed.

I haven't tried that. I may have to replace the entire top case.

@sickminecraft45 - I would start off checking if you can bypass the keyboard first.
