Lighting port not working

Hi,

I was trying to replace my battery and was having difficulty and during the process I bent some pins of the logic board that connect the screen, out of place. Could be they cracked. Does it make sense that now the lightning port doesn't work either? I'm trying to connect it to a laptop to take off some pics. Any advice on my problem?

Answer this question I have this problem too

Is this a good question?

Thank you for the reply.

The screen doesn't work either. See attached picture of the logic board of the screen connector. I messed up the pins. But I was surprised that the lightning port doesn't work after I messed this up.

I guess something went wrong

It's possible that you accidentally caused a short while trying to do the repair, in which case it would be understandable that the lightning port would no longer function. The fix would require micro soldering unfortunately.

To rule it out you could purchase a new lightning connector on the off chance the connector itself is fried. One way to quickly rule this fix out is by process of elimination. If the battery, screen, etc. all function except for the charging port then I would give it a shot.
