Why is my iPhone not getting power from my computer but from the outle

When plugging the iPhone 4 into the wall outlet or a power bank it will show signs of life but now when I plug into the computer. I am suspecting a battery issue because it is bootlooping and I was able to get it into recovery mode but once unplugged it dies. Unsure if it would be anything that's not the battery? Has anyone else had the same issue?

It might not be getting enough power from the pc to boot. It is most likely a battery issue.

It's been a long time, but if memory serves the iPhone 4 could boot from usb without a battery connected. Either way, the next step is definitely to put the board on dc power supply with alligator clamps to the pos and neg battery pins, or connect a charged battery.
