What is the difference between 922-8773 and 922-8380?

History

Hi !

I want to buy an audio flex cable for my MBA 1304 and i found 2 compatible cable models. One is Apple Part #: 922-8773 and the other is Apple Part #: 922-8380.

What is the difference between them ?

If they are the same what would you recomend for me to purchase ?

Thanks !

It appears to me they are interchangeable and identicle but perhaps there is a subtle change that makes the earlier version incompatible with the later MacBook?? Current carrying capacity, length?

922-8380

922-8773

I'd buy the later version part - 922-8773 as it is listed as compatible.

IMO there was probably a good reason to revamp it too.

Could it be that 922-8380 is original and the other is made by someother company ?

shaty,

both are apple parts - there was obviously a need to upgrade or change the spec for the later models but it is clearly backward compatible.
