replace PATA optical drive with an SSD drive
last night I had a crazy idea!
would it be possible to replace optical drive (PATA)
with an SSD drive?
the only problem is the PATA connection instead of SATA, I don't know if there is an adapter or PATA SSDs
edit: I found this:

Here's what you need to put in a SATA hard drive in your PATA optical bay slot: 9.5 mm Optical Bay SATA Hard Drive Enclosure
9.5 mm Optical Bay SATA Hard Drive Enclosure
9.5 mm Internal ATA Optical Bay for SATA Hard Drives — 37 available at 59.95 each.

this a Caddy for this type of iMac. It converts Sata (internal) to Pata (external) you can use any data connection 2,5" drive (ssd or hdd).
