Can I replace my battery?

My battery has started to swell, and I’d like to replace it, but on the product page there is a note that says “A small percentage of users have experienced issues with aftermarket (non-Apple) batteries failing to be recognized properly in devices running Mac OS X El Capitan (10.11.x) or Sierra (10.12.x). If your system does not operate properly with our replacement battery, it can be returned for a full refund.”.

While I understand that if the battery doesn’t work, I can simply refund it, I’d rather not open up the laptop if there is no chance of it working. I am currently running Catalina 10.15.4.

I’d get that battery out ASAP! These batteries can burst and leak all over.

They can press on the the trackpad and I have even seen them crack the trackpad. it can also make the trackpad unusable.
