No signs of life when battery is plugged in. (Bad smc repair)

So after I repaired the faulty mid-2010 GPU capacitor, the fans were maxed out, nothing would happen after closing the lid, no sleep indicator, no keyboard backlight, no temp readings, and the system would shut off whenever anything demanding was turned on. I thought it is a fault because it does not have a battery, so I ordered one.

But after the battery is installed MacBook was totally dead. I even couldn’t do an SMC reset. Out of frustration, I took the battery out and the system is now posting. I really wanna figure out why is this happening, I ran an AHT (Apple Hardware Test), even the long version, and no errors detected. Just don’t want MacBook to shut down when I play a youtube video, please help.

Maybe it could be bad SMC, but I don’t know how to check it. Please help.

Edit: It is a bad smc, what options (if I would want to repair it of course ) do I have now?

I would go back and replace the cap again as you could have had a bad one or it was the wrong part or reversed.

Maybe yes, but why would not the system post with battery?

The part is shorted out (did you bridge the pads?)

Alright, so I have done a lot of research and it appears it is an smc, after all, I was booting with smc turned off

(Hold power button, plug in, release power button)

My question is what I can now do?

I fear you may have damaged the logic board :-{

At this point you'll need to decide if replacing the logic board is the better direction or finding someone with the needed parts to fix your logic board.
