Video Card Upgrade

History

I burned out my Radeon 9800 Pro Mac version (256meg) AGP, DVI & ADC. I can't find a good breakdown of performance on available cards. SquareTrade just sent me $200 to replace it. Can anyone recommend a comparable used card or upgrade from the 9800 card for under $300?

After searching for a month to get information on video cards for my PowerMac G5 dual 2 GHz (late 2004), I finally found a place with reviews on twenty-four AGP cards for this machine. His prices are great and I bought the top of the line card a *BFG* nVidia 7800 GS OC DVI/VGA for Apple Mac G5 8X AGP for $160.00. It is an altered PC card rather than a "Made for Mac" card, but this guy seems to know what he is talking about. I'll take out a SquareTrade warranty on it just in case.

Just a follow up on Old-Macs. He shipped the card the same day and sent an email notification. Also a link to detailed video installation instructions and told me where to locate and how to run Firmtk's Cache Cleaner to delete the old systems kernel extension cache and install the new drivers. I was impressed.
