Graphic card replacement advice

Hello everyone

My iMac has stopped working and I need to replace my Graphic Card, do you know what is a good choice for one compatible with my system?

Stick to OEM specs. You will not see the BIOS with most upgrades, might be really important when troubleshooting later. Other World Computing aka MacSales.com is a great place to find just what you need if you don't use Apple store or AppleCare. No, I do not work for or own this company...

Your system came with a ATI Radeon HD 2600 Pro with 256 MB VRAM - Apple P/N 661-4426

Sadly you really can’t use anything else as the version of MXM interface your system has won’t support any of the newer boards.

The board is MXM not PCI or PCIe so none of these will work. I posted a picture of the board in my answer so you can see how different it is.

Here's one for sale TheBookYard - iMac Alu 24" ATI Radeon HD 2600, 256MB (07) This board also comes with the needed heat sink assembly.

is possible to use an OEM hd 2600 (MXM) from an acer laptop instead of original imac HD 2600?
