LCD Backlight not working if battery over 80% charged

History

I have a rather unique problem i have cracked an replaced the lcd + digitizer the problem appears both with the cracked LCD and a new one so i am assuming i messed up something on the board itself

THE LCD BACKLIGHT IS NOT WORKING WHEN CHARGED OVER 80% go figure

Can anyone help?

Weird. Never hurts to try a Reset. Hold together Home and Power buttons for about 15 seconds, let iPhone turn off itself and then it will turn back on.

It may be a heat related issue - check for loose connections. Does the battery look swollen? It may be expanding a little when hot?

If not then you may need to replace the display
