My sister had some kid toss her iphone against a wall and shatter the glass screen.
Got her a replacement glass, and installed it for her for christmas.
After the install the home button is like a rock, flush with the screen. It has absolutely no "give" and does not function. She's happy she's got a pretty iphone again, but lack of home button is pretty brutal.
Any ideas on a solution would be helpful.

well, when you were doing the repair, you made sure the mid bezel was clean before you added the digitizer and glass correct?If anything, just open it back up carefully and reset it. If you can't do that, you better off just buying a new one and replacing it
