Connecting hard drive to MacBook Pro

I have a :

western digital WD1600 Hard drive

WD caviar serial ATA hard drive

Model # WD1600 JD 4 gbb2

S/N WMAES4001295

*WM4390899QFXA*

It's out of the iMac g5 20 inch and I want to connect it to a Macbook Pro via the USB port. Will the Universal Drive Adapter IF 107-108-1 do the job?

Options

Yes the universal adapter will work. You will need to use the auxiliary power unit as the drive pulls more power than what the USB port of your system offers.
